My Bio
Hello, and welcome to Weird City Taxidermy! My name is Rachel and I'm a taxidermist in Austin, Texas, also known affectionately as The Weird City, hence the name Weird City Taxidermy! I've been practicing taxidermy since 2010 and I strive with every opportunity I'm given to continually grow and perfect my skills as a wildlife artist.
Weird City Taxidermy's tagline is "Real and imagined", meaning that while I primarily re-create animals in their natural form (real), I also welcome the chance to practice a little novelty/rogue taxidermy (imagined). Thanks for stopping by!

TFW you drop your hides off at the tanner, expecting a 3-4 week turnaround (which is already fast!)... and get a call 10 days later informing you that they're ready to be picked up.

I always seem to forget why I hate working with garment tans... until it comes time to mount up something that's been garment tanned.
